Our travellers come from all over the world and are mainly aged between 20-45. Stray travellers are energetic, adventurous and excited to embrace the natural beauty, culture and amazing experiences of Southeast Asia. People join solo and with friends or partners, so don’t be shy about joining a tour on your own.

Our Asia tours have a maximum of 16 people, and an average of 10-12. We keep them small enough to be personal, uncrowded and flexible, but large enough to be fun and full of new friends.

Accommodation is in carefully selected twin-share hotels and resorts (plus the occasional overnight train or boat where noted). If you’re travelling solo we’ll room you with another traveller of the same gender. Prefer your own space? Add a private room upgrade when you book.

Most nationalities need a visa for the countries on this tour. Requirements vary by nationality and route, so check with the relevant embassy before you travel. You can find a general overview on our Asia visas page. You are responsible for obtaining the visas you need.

Western food is sparse outside the main centres, so come open-minded about eating local. We suggest budgeting around US$35 a day for food and entertainment, depending on your tastes. Supermarkets are not the norm but your guide will point out places to stock up.

I couldn't have wished for better

I had an incredible experience during my 19-day tour through New Zealand. In such a short amount of time, I was able to see so many amazing and different places - it was exactly what I wanted from this trip.
